Claims Upload feature in CM/ECF to be Implemented 04/02/2012 for Limited User e-filers (posted 03/29/2012)
On Monday, April 2, 2012, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania will implement the Claims Upload feature in its CM/ECF system for e-filers with Limited User access.
This new item on the Bankruptcy Events menu will allow filers with limited user access to add and amend claims through the uploading of a file and to also add the creditor who is filing the claim to the case. The file that is uploaded is a “zipped” (compressed) file that incorporates both claims/creditor data in XML format and PDF files of the proofs of claim and supporting documentation.
Technical details for creditors interested in using this feature are available on PACER’s CM/ECF Developer Resources page (http://www.pacer.gov/cmecf/developer/) in the document titled “Electronic Filing of Bankruptcy Claims Process Document”.
The ability to transfer claims using this feature will not be available initially but will be added in the future.
Local Filing Instructions are available here.
If you do not have a Limited User login to our Court, registration information is located here.
